Join us for a New Year’s Eve livestream fellowship with Himalayan siddha monk and living saint, His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda. His Holiness will address the means (upāya) of making the mind one-pointed related to learning experiences, and how to uplift the mind even further by allowing knowledge to mature into wisdom. He will draw upon the teachings of Patanjali Yoga Sutra Chapter 1, Verse 20.
His Holiness will share the five components or points of a pyramid that constitutes the means of attaining higher absorption effecting deeper wisdom. In yoga philosophy this is known as upāya that has a five-fold means of attaining one-pointed concentration.
Learn how strength, determination, and courage relate to energy and stamina. How this process develops memory or even the constant recollection of the goal, which in turn aids meditation and reflection. Finally learn why the wisdom dawns through repeated concentration and meditative absorption.
Experience Sanskrit chanting for peace and goodwill and see ceremonial fire from the live vespers offered to our meditation altar at the conclusion of the fellowship. Please plan for two hours.
