Join our worldwide sangha for a livestream fellowship with Himalayan siddha monk and living saint, His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda. His Holiness will deliver this continuing series of extraordinary discourses related to self-empowerment. His discourse will cover the conceptual framework of mindfulness, natural breathing, calmness (energy of mindfulness), and how these themes relate with meditation.

The New Moon of September 24th night and 25th morning is commemorated as Mahālaya in the Sanskrit Tradition and is hailed as the most important ubiquitous day to appease the departed souls by their family members.

This day is especially relevant for those familial lineages who have not had a chance to properly execute the last rites or did not complete the funerals prayerfully. His Holiness will offer prayers on everyone’s behalf to facilitate ascension of departed beings.

September 26th ushers in the fourth Navarātrī of the calendar year. Single days of special prayers related to the splendorous aspects of the Divine Mother divide the nine days (and nights) or navarātri meditation or worship. The nine-night periods are celebrated by practicing varying degrees of contemplation, introspection, meditation, austerity, rituals, and by launching meaningful ventures.

During four navarātri periods each year motherhood is honoured through a targeted spiritual penance. These time periods are considered to be the ideal times to participate in healing the earth through the meditation and worship of the Divine Mother – the great śakti. The culmination of this nine-night period ushers in daśamī or the tenth day of the ascending cycle of the Moon. It bears great significance for bringing to fruition a special personal triumph.

His Holiness will end the broadcast mentioning the significance of this Navarātrī and offer his blessings. Feel the impact of sublime Sanskrit chanting and darshan blessings during the broadcast. The livestream fellowship will conclude with vespers (ārati). We will be streaming live from Santa Barbara, California.
