What you will learn
His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda will explain the structure of Himalayan Kriya Meditation and the framework of the householder practice of Kriyayoga and its related Kriya techniques.
His Holiness will first elucidate the Yogasutra definition of Kriyayoga, He will expand on the meaning of kriyā as per the Rājayoga paradigm of Kriyayoga. He will explain the role of śuddhi or purification techniques and their results; the role of nyāsa or consecration techniques and their results; and the role kriya-parāvasthā or the breathless state of saturation and the after-effects of this state.
His Holiness will elaborate on the purpose of three kinds of kriya in the light of sahaja-karma, prāṇa-karma, and kutastha-karma. He will explain if the end result of prāṇāyāma can be attained through kriyā (as in movement sensation of light) or mantra (as in mantra-caitanya), besides the outcome of regular prāṇāyāma breathing. His Holiness will share if the kriya approach of techniques accentuates the evolution of the mind and the body, and how the body is utlized for higher development and increased perceptivity.
Learn about the five stages of siddha-hood from the practice of these structured Kriyā Meditation techniques that speed up the evolution of the mind and body, while loosening the grip of afflictions. Find out who are the siddha, nātha, nāga, muni, and the r̥śi (rishi) sages and how these stages are somewhat related to the perfection of the purification, consecration, levitation, transmigration, and true vision. Herein transmigration is known by ākāśa-gamanāsanam of flying or teleporting with or without the body. Whereas levitation is known as vāyavyāsanam that can be controlled to lift or move the body after attaining conquest of prāṇa or the lifeforce.
Learn about the advanced state of rishi sages who develop perfect vision as the final stage of development of this practice, and thereby can see and hear the sutra-strings floating in plasma of the cosmic space. These sūtrāni or the strings are knotted and tightly wound as they create the framework of creation (as the foundational tenets of truth) spewing out of the stars into the intersteller spaces.
Each person is potentially divine. Divinity can be unraveled through mindful voluntary action related to Kriya Meditation. Although godliness exists in potential form, it needs a reason to express itself. Voluntary action needs to be effected mindfully to obtain desired results. If Kriyayoga is practiced diligently, the practitioner may attain liberation even in a single lifetime.
Additionally, feel the impact of sublime Sanskrit chanting and darshan blessings during the broadcast. The livestream fellowship will conclude with vespers (ārati). We will be streaming live from Santa Barbara in California.
