Which Voluntary Actions Build Concentration?
Understanding How Yoga Practices Develop Meaningful Experiences

Higher Yoga – Voluntary Action – Spiritual Experience – Pranayama – Breathing – Meditation

Join our worldwide livestream for a fellowship with our Himalayan siddha monk and living saint, His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda. In light of ongoing challenging times His Holiness has consented to deliver this continuing series of extraordinary discourses related to self-empowerment.

Experience an insightful discourse about the role of voluntary action in our spiritual development and learn about purushakara and purushartha in building concentration. How disciplined practices of higher yoga rapidly develop self-empowerment through the power of divine experiences will be elucidated with examples.

Gain insights on how correct and properly thought-through voluntary action – coupled with the tenacity of discipline – embellish your personal spiritual discipline and devotional understanding. Learn about the virtues of  meaningful experiences (anubhava) as opposed to intellectual assimilation of dry knowledge. Understand why one ounce of practice is worth tons of theories.

Is persistent yoga practice of proper techniques the highest form of voluntary action? His Holiness will guide us through the ancient Sanskrit-based framework for honing in with a refined and subtle concentration. Only when concentration is immersive does the resultant absorption bear the potential for spiritual or divine experiences (anubhuti).

Each seeker is potentially divine. Divinity can unravel through mindful voluntary action. Although godliness exists in potential form, it needs a reason to express itself. Voluntary action needs to be effected mindfully to obtain desired results. If higher yoga is practiced voluntarily and diligently, the practitioner may attain liberation even in a single lifetime.

By applying the foundational tenets of philosophy one can then understand the fundamental doctrine of action, its cessation and attainment of liberation. As His Holiness will conclude, voluntary action of meditation brings about true intellectual repose while establishing the experience of calmness and mental clarity.

Additionally, feel the impact of sublime Sanskrit chanting and darshan blessings during the broadcast. The livestream fellowship will conclude with vespers (ārati). We will be streaming live from Santa Barbara, California.
