Join us on Wednesday, 11th December for our Full Moon beach peace walk followed by spiritual fellowship with His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda. We will offer our twilight contemplative peace walk at the beach for our community well-being during the interlude of sunset (4:48pm) and moonrise (4:42pm) just hours before the the peak full moon at 9:12pm.
We will meet at 4:30pm at East Beach in Santa Barbara (East of the volleyball courts). You will be greeted by volunteers. After the peace walk at the beach and moonrise, weather permitting we will practice open eye meditation on the full moon sitting on the beach (please bring your own blanket and warm clothing). If the weather is foggy and the moon is not visible, we will skip the seated meditation. Following this beach peace contemplation, we will gather at our Hansavedas Meditation Centre for herbal tea/prasāda and fellowship.
We will be celebrating the full moon birth anniversary of one of the greatest mystics of Vedic times, Lord Dattatreya whose esoteric spiritual teachings form the core of mystical lineages in India. This evening fellowship will be dedicated to the holy remembrance and the legacy of Datta-marga (the Dattatreya tradition of mysticism) meditative penance and spiritual practices.
Our Centre is located at 1807 E. Cabrillo Blvd, Suite D, Santa Barbara, CA 93108 (NE corner of the Las Aves Complex; entrance from Los Patos drive). His Holiness will share words of wisdom and offer chanting.
