Join us in Santa Barbara for a discourse based on Patañjali Yogasutra followed by a guided meditation with our saintly Himalayan monk, His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda. His Holiness will discourse on other methods besides breathing to calm the mind, how to make the mind contemplative and reflective based on routine experiences, which is then immensely helpful for deepening a meditation practice. Experience authentic Yoga-sutra teachings, pranayama breathwork, mantra chanting, devotional singing, blessing line (darshan) and blissful meditation.
The fellowship will begin at 6pm with a kirtan singing at the Unity of Santa Barbara (227 East Arrellaga Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101). Kindly arrive early and be seated promptly to experience the opening kirtan music by Sudama Kennedy, Diane Dickerson and Kabir Chalfin.
Unity has a large parking lot on the corner of Santa Barbara St. and Valerio St., with the entrance on Valerio. Those from the Los Angeles area or Bay Area may contact us to inquire about carpools to Santa Barbara. The fellowship will conclude by 9pm.
Entrance is free with registration, but love donations are deeply appreciated.
Pre-registration is highly encouraged, but guests are also welcome to register at the door.
