Join us for an immensely inspiring and life-enriching opportunity to learn esoteric Himalayan secrets on building stamina living with vitality. This workshop is designed to give intermediate level aspirants a framework for leading a clean lifestyle through prāṇāyāma techniques integrated with breathholds and locks, while using green elixirs and other complementary dietary regimen. This is a great opportunity for those who already have an established practice of Ujjāyī prāṇāyāma to dive deeper into intermediate level integration invoking next level techniques.

Learn how siddha adepts have refined and utilized a formula of prāņāyāma with locks and breathholds, kāyākalpa herbs, stimulation of stem cells and oxygen absorption to promote longevity and vitality. This workshop is designed for a modern day aspiring yogi to begin practicing the regimen of adepts residing deep in the mountainous caves and to learn about the practical applications.

When it comes to vitality and life-enhancing herbs, there is no rival to the kāyākalpa group of herbs. While individual use or simple combination of these potent herbs as tonics is proven to promote healthful vibrant life, intricate combinations of these herbs and their administration in congruence with the prāņāyāma techniques using the locks and breathholds remain an esoteric, anti-aging recipe. Such practices are only to be learnt from lineage-based nath siddha adepts.

His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda will share in this workshop what the great nath siddha Goraxanath has revealed to him about herbal combinations that stimulate the release of stem cells. He will share from his own experience in the Himalayan Mountains, the method by which the great siddhas utilize the stem cells for rejuvenation, longevity and vitality.

Topics covered:
– Himalayan prāṇāyāma techniques with combination of internal locks (bandha)
– Himalayan prāṇāyāma techniques with locks during breathholds (kumbhaka)
– Himalayan prāṇāyāma techniques with locks, breathholds, and Oṃ sound striking
– Unique brain alertness breathing technique of mūrchā-prāṇāyāma with Oṃ strikes
– Breathwork to harness the kundalini life-energy
– Overview of subtle dietary guidelines for yogic lifestyle
– Understanding the entangled beings – guts and brain
– Green elixirs and tonic potions for vitality and rejuvenation

Teachers
His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda is a yogi-monk who reveals to us rare prāṇāyāma and meditation techniques from the Himalayan siddha tradition. He hails from lineages of meditation adepts that are from a combined heritage of rishi sages and nath yogis. His Holiness will be assisted by Sister Girija during demonstrations and during warm-up practice of Tāl̥āsanā Yoga-vinyāsa-krama (YVK) postures.

Food Guidelines
Eat light on Friday evening. Avoid mucous generating foods on Friday. Try to avoid breakfast on Saturday morning before coming to the Workshop. A light snack of fruit is acceptable. Taking only herbal tea is fine. For those with blood sugar issues, we can provide an energy bar during the break. Practicing prāṇāyāma on an empty stomach is best, as food in the stomach during practice may cause discomfort. If you absolutely need to eat fruits or take a drink, please do so no later than 7:30am so you have ample time for digestion. One energy bar or a fruit per participant will be during the break.

A delicious Ayurvedic vegetarian lunch (gluten-free and mostly vegan) will be served during the lunch break and is included in your registration. Green elixir recipe will be shared after the lunch break, but this complex drink with intricate combination of special ingredients cannot be offered at this workshop.

Pre-requisites for Attendance
Established practice of yogic (ujjāyī) breathing, known as the “breath of victory”, or a regular practice of prāṇāyāma is required for attendance at this workshop. Ujjāyī or basic prāṇāyāma will not be taught at this workshop. If you are unsure if this Workshop is suitable for you please feel free to contact our main Nonprofit office at 909-543-6003. Please note that some of the breathing techniques taught in this workshop are not suitable for those with hypertension (high blood pressure) or persistent migraine headaches. If you have either of these conditions please consult with your personal physician before planning to attend. During the workshop prāṇāyāma techniques which are not appropriate for those with hypertension will be noted by the Teacher so that you may abstain from practicing them. Children under the age of 18 years may be allowed to attend if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Attendance by those under the age of 18 must be pre-approved based on steady practice of ujjāyī prāṇāyāma. Please write to us to inquire.
